Cool Signs for a Cool Modern Home!
I usually talk about large pieces of modern furniture like beds or bathroom vanities, but today, I’d like to take a moment to point you in the direction of some decorative accessories I stumbled across today:

These are just a few decorative wall hangings available via “Atlas Designs and Plaques,” located in Wisconsin. I was dismayed to learn this geographical fact at first, as I live in California, but luckily they seem to ship anywhere in the continental U.S.
These whimsical and charming signs are great, personalized accents for any home. I mean, honestly, who wouldn’t want a sign reading “[your name here]’s Man Cave?”
Well, maybe there are few people who would actually enjoy having such a sign in their house. But I’m one of them.
But what about this circle clock?

This accessory is an interesting blend of modern and rustic/traditional aesthetics. Of course, the tarnished bronze look is a throwback to the antique look of old-fashioned signage. But on the other hand, the meticulously engraved circles are reminiscent of modern art, featuring a simple but elegant and contemplative design. The omission of numbers and even hash marks is also indicative of a modern design. Time becomes less specific with this clock, and more an “approximation,” which is in keeping with both modern concepts of time as well as the traditionally less-structured workday of rural homes. This consistent yet compatible duality is endlessly creative, and I think it is fascinating.
Definitely check this company out, they have some really great stuff that is well worth looking through!
