Versatile and Awesome Chairs from Baita Designs

Do you know what makes a piece of furniture great? For me, anyway, perhaps the most significant factor which determines whether or not I “like” a piece has to do with versatility in design. Should modern furniture look great? Absolutely. But that isn’t all it needs to be, in order to be truly worthwhile. After all, most modern furniture “looks” good.

This is why I am so impressed with Baita Designs, located in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Their furniture looks really cool, but they always keep versatility and elegance foremost in their creative minds. At the same time, Baita Designs is notable for the fact that they design cutting edge modern furniture that wouldn’t look out of place in the average home. Unlike many modern furniture studios, who often favor the ostentatious (and sometimes, the ridiculous) in their designs, Baita prefers a more subdued approach to high-tech furniture engineering and aesthetics.

Take, for instance, their “K3” chair. Upon first glance, this chair doesn’t look like anything particularly out of the ordinary. The steel frame is sleek and modern without being too showy, and the chair legs are subtly stylized. But what sets this chair apart and makes it something truly special is its versatility. The K3, you see, is a telescoping chair that can comfortably seat up to 3 people when fully extended. Sitting alone, or sitting in a space-restrictive room? Collapse the chair into one single seat. This dynamic piece of furniture is truly a shining example of beauty and efficiency in modern design.

What’s more, the K3 is super lightweight, and seems to be outdoor-safe (though I couldn’t find any information verifying this on the site). All in all, Baita has made quite an impression on me with their great contemporary furniture designs. Check them out today – no, right now! – and see their awesome, unique works of modern art for yourself.
