With time, wear and tear of your home furniture occurs. The one item that is most susceptible to damage would be the sofa – the place where you lounge the most, apart from your bed. Naturally, minor tears will show up in an aged sofa but there’s no need to dump it out the moment you spot a tear.
Tipnut’s handy tip will guide you on how to mend small tears in your upholstery (including leather).

Bloomframe
Do you love high tech interior design products? If you do, you’ll definitely fall in love with the marvel that is called Bloomframe. Designed by Hofman Dujardin, this unique window doubles as a mesmerizingly modern balcony.
Maybe in the back of your head, you always knew someone would come up with this but I bet you’d be pretty curious to see the mechanics of it.
See it in action after the jump (it’s a video you wouldn’t want to miss)

Modular Shelving System
Tom Ballhatchet and Jack Godfrey Wood, designed a modular shelving unit made up of several uniquely shaped modules which can be flexibly stacked up to form an organically shaped shelving console to house books, ornaments etc.

Spotted by the Spoticam
You’re a guest at your colleague’s house warming party. A pretty place he’s got, “Itch”, fitted with modern contemporary furnishings. “Itch”. The place oozes class. Very chic. “Itch”
That itch in your nose has been bothering you for a while now but you don’t want to be seen picking your nose in front of the other guests to get to that itch. You find a little deserted corridor. Alas, an opportunity to rid the itch. You pick away… and nonchalantly flick away the bit that was bothering you.
Suddenly, you realise something on the far wall facing you and it looks like it could possibly be a… NOOO, surveillance camera? What sort of paranoid fool do you have for a colleague? And what sort of disgusting act of yours is now caught on camera?
You hear a crowd of people coming your way. You turn around to see your host showing his guests around his dear abode. He lifts his arm up to flick a switch…

Omid Sadri’s Pho Bowl
Pho is a traditional Vietnamese beef noodle soup – something I had A LOT of during my Uni years in Brisbane, Australia. My housemates and I would often frequent this one store run by a Vietnamese couple because they served the meanest Pho in town. However, they always served them in gaudy bright orange melamine bowls, completely unlike the elegant multi-tiered Pho bowl designed by Omid Sadri.

The SheatSeat
There are chairs and there are brililantly designed chairs. The Sheatseat falls in the latter category. The perennial problem of large footprints of stacked chairs has now been solved by this clever chair, first unveiled during the New York Design Week 2009.

The foldout design of the chair allows it to be completely flat in its pack-away state, allowing for stacking to be akin to that of a pile of cards.

HowTo: Get That Harry Potter Photo Feel
This is brilliant. Why didn’t I think of using my digital photoframe for this? I’m going to definitely work on getting moving pictures into my photo frame this weekend. I wonder if it’ll look downright cool or creepy to see an image of me moving about behind the photo frame?
Here are the instructions on how to achieve that Harry Potter moving photos feel, courtesy of the folks over at PhotoJojo. Mind you, you’ll need a digital photo frame for the effect.
