Fire Extinguishers Can Be Pretty Too

Here’s a simple question to which I am confident most of you will answer ‘No‘ to. Do you have a fire extinguisher in your home?

Safety is paramount! Fire extinguishers and First-Aid kits are must-haves for any household. Unfortunately, if asked right now, my answer would also be a ‘No’ (shame on me). Going through the daily grind, it never really occurred to me to get a fire extinguisher for the home – I assume the excuse can be applied to most of us.

Whilst necessary, most fire extinguishers look horribly drab. Why not turn this piece of equipment into an attractive item for the home? This is exactly what the French company, Fire Design, have done. They offer a myriad collection of great looking fire extinguishers.

Looks vaguely familiar? It’s really a concept very similar to the Sigg bottles which are commonly sold.

This is by far, my favourite of the lot – it’s called Fire NY

Then there is the Fire Pixel Orange which looks like it would totally camouflage with my kitchen. Compare it against the wall tiles in my kitchen below (see left side of image)

Head on over to Fire Design’s official site to view the full range of their fanciful fire extinguishers. Can’t wait for these to come to our shores. Don’t expect them to be cheap when they do though.
