Hi, I’m Tonia Arnold from Loco-Notions. As a guest blogger on How’sHouse, I’d like to share with you a rather interesting concept today: Chalkboard Paint.

The recipe is very simple…

All you need to do is add 2 tablespoons of unsanded tile grout to 1 cup of paint.   How easy is that?    Chalkboard paint can be fun, creative and functional for both children and adults.  For kids, paint the top of a child sized table or tv tray, paint a silhouette on the wall or create hopscotch squares on the floor.  For adults, spruce up your buffet or refrigerator. You can create your own chalkboard by using your favorite picture frame.  The possibilities are endless, have fun and be creative!  Do you have any other ideas?  Let us know

if you are ever in Avenue K, the food court at the Concourse floor has a whole chalkboard painted wall – pretty interesting

I’m doing my bathroom in my appartment chalk board paint. I often have large gatherings and my one bathroom get’s used almost constantly all night. It’s always great to read while sitting on the toilet, and now we will be able to read, write and draw! I predict that we will have so much fun leaving each other messages and little pictures.

i have read some website say mix one cup of pain+unsanded tile grout to make Chalkboard Paint… anyone know the pain is water pain? or oil pain?
