Current Trends in Double Vanities and Bathroom Design
When it comes to setting new interior design trends, southern California tends to be a major national leader. Some of the most innovative and charming design trends begin in this beautiful state. To the average Californian home designer, every room in the house is important: even hall closets are meticulously designed to be fashionable and accommodating. For rooms like the kitchen or the bathroom, the current trend seems to cling to the philosophy that “bigger is better.” These rooms are growing ever more expansive while house sizes are remaining relatively stable. With these larger rooms, home designers really get the chance to show off their artistry and creativity with double vanities.

Fire Extinguishers Can Be Pretty Too
Here’s a simple question to which I am confident most of you will answer ‘No‘ to. Do you have a fire extinguisher in your home?
Safety is paramount! Fire extinguishers and First-Aid kits are must-haves for any household. Unfortunately, if asked right now, my answer would also be a ‘No’ (shame on me). Going through the daily grind, it never really occurred to me to get a fire extinguisher for the home – I assume the excuse can be applied to most of us.
Whilst necessary, most fire extinguishers look horribly drab. Why not turn this piece of equipment into an attractive item for the home? This is exactly what the French company, Fire Design, have done. They offer a myriad collection of great looking fire extinguishers.

Bringing your bedroom into modern times may be as simple as changing the bed frame or as complicated as completely renovating the space, depending of course on your time and budget constraints. But what exactly constitutes “modern bedroom furniture“?

Home Insurance
In the world we live in today protecting your home is more important than ever for a number of reasons. The increased value of contents that people now have in their homes means that burgling a home is more profitable than ever for the common thief. Also, as we become more reliant on computers and other technology these devices have more and more value than meets the eye with thousands of sentimental photos, personal records, music and other data being stored on such devices.

OneLessStand and OneLessFile

My friend, Dean Heckler, from the OneLess series has done it again! Leveraging on the ever popular minimalistic OneLessDesk (I’ve written two articles on it – ‘The New OneLessDesk‘ and ‘Space Saving Computer Table‘), he’s just informed me of his latest releases to expand the OneLess family – introducing the OneLessStand and OneLessFile.
Heckler Design has rounded out their OneLessOffice suite of products. Now joining OneLessDesk, the beautifully minimal computer desk, is OneLessStand and OneLessFile. Both new products are available for pre-order starting today at Hecklerdesign.com.
OneLessDesk is designed to be more flexible. Re-arrange and re-direct your work environment throughout the day.
All the OneLessOffice pieces are designed to nest, fully loaded when not in use. Your entire home office now tucks away into a 40″ by 12″ space when not in use.
