How’sHouse Has a New Theme

How’sHouse has been given a new coat of paint, refurbished – with a new look. The key reason in my decision to change the theme of the site is mainly due to the display issues that were not consistent between IE and Firefox. After installing the Statpress plugin, I found that 70% of my readers were using either IE6 or IE7 and the sidebars did not display well at all in the Microsoft browser with the previous theme.

I’ve tried changing the codes and messing around with the CSS to fix these issues. Coupled with my lack of expertise in web development, I wasn’t able to resolve all the issues I discovered. Maintaining the site with the old theme was also tedious – nothing usually works on the first attempt.

I chose this theme chiefly for its simplicity, typography, and layout. I like the uncluttered look and I hope that you, my readers, will have a more pleasant experience surfing and hanging around How’sHouse now. I’m working on improving the site currently but rest assured I will try my utter best to ensure that the content is always accessible.
