What’s Cool About This House 002
1. Mix and match living room set - this is proof that you don’t always need to buy your couches in a set (3+2+1 or 2+1 or 3+1+1 etc). Mixing and matching does have it’s own allure, giving the place a certain extra bit of character. I like the benches by the window – nice functional touch
2. Roller blinds for the windows – inexpensive and totally functional. No need to worry about dust. When you want to let light in through the window, unlike curtains, this option allows you to completely keep it out of view. No dangles, no mess, no frills. Having said that, if this was a 3 pane window, then I’d say curtains would do just nicely. Because of the split and the concrete pillar that separates the windows, blinds are the perfect choice.
3. Simple wall art – I have to say, this is by far, my favourite thing about this living space. The three round brightly coloured discs add a wonderful finishing touch to the area. Who’d have thought something so simple would look so great hung up on a wall in such a fashion. This could be a really inexpensive idea for me to pursue and apply in my first floor living room. Perhaps if i could fashion one of the discs into a clock… just a thought
