Wallpaper Can be Oh! So Cool

Even though not widely used in Malaysian homes, wallpaper can truly add a tasteful flavour to any home. Most people shriek when it comes to wallpaper vs paint because of the sheer costs involved if one were to use wallpaper over paint. Truth is, you don’t have to plaster your entire room, or home, with wallpaper.

Imagine yourself with a piece of wall in your home in which you want to turn into a feature wall. What could you do with it?

1. Paint it a different colour from the rest of the area and add some accents

2. Use some of the exciting modern contemporary tiles available out there

3. Texturize your wall by employing a skilled craftsman

4. Use wallpaper

5. Stick on vinyl decals (which I have exciting news on decals to share with you folks soon. Something truly local.)

Option 5 coupled with 1 would make a great combo, I’d say. However, option 4 wouldn’t exactly be too costly now that you’re only using it for a part of the home, in fact, only one piece of wall.

Take a look at this and tell me if you don’t think wallpapers can make your feature wall look great.

Even from up close it looks brilliant. This reminds me of a textured wallpaper I’ve seen at a Rozel outlet in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail. It had a 3d effect of textured wood and even by going very close to it, you could still be led to believe that it was a textured surface, not a flat one. That was just amazing.

So there you go, wallpaper can be extremely fun.
